I’m loving the relaxed vibes I’m getting from IPSY this month. The theme is ‘Over Easy’ focusing on all-in-one products and lazy girl makeup hacks. This adorable bag with IPSY’s new mascot Gudetama is very durable. Plus the coated outside wipes clean for easy maintenance.
For those of you that are new to IPSY, it is a beauty bag subscription for only $10 a month. Each month they send you 5 products, both full size and deluxe samples, personalized to you based on how your filled out their makeup survey. It’s a really great way to build your makeup arsenal and try new brands/products for really cheap. From my experience the bags’ average retail value is about $55. Plus, every month they send your products in a (usually) cute makeup bag. Want to join the club? Sign up here.
Caudalie Moisturizing Sorbet –
I really have mixed feelings about this moisturizer. Let me start out by saying there is nothing I’m more picky about than moisturizers. I’ve tried some of bad ones and let’s just say it’s not an experience I’d like to repeat. I like how this moisturizing sorbet felt on my skin, especially the morning after which is the real test of a good moisturizer. It was light-weight, non-greasy, and super conditioning. However, it smelled like a bunch of artificial scents (which turned me off so much I almost didn’t try it) and tube felt half empty before I even used any. Thankfully the scent is light enough that after a few minutes I didn’t even notice it, so I will probably continue using this. I probably wouldn’t buy any more though. – $9.99
Pacifica Natural Mineral Eye Shadow Palette ‘Island Life’-
I was so excited when I found out I was going to get this IPSY exclusive palette in my glam bag. I love shimmery shadows for summer time and this looked so promising. However when I tried the colors out on my eyes they were really light and faded into my skin…even with a primer. I will still use this as a highlighter palette, but definitely not as a stand alone set. (since this was an IPSY exclusive there was no retail price, however similar pallets were about $14) 3.6g – ~$14.00
Japonesque Velvet Touch Primer –
This primer really works well on my combination skin. It absorbs oil and keeps my foundation in place while helping fill in pores. A little goes a long way, so this deluxe sample should last me a while. 9mL – $10.50
Trifle Cosmetics Ombré Radiance Blush Palette Raspberry Ripple –
What a great palette for vacation! This mini blush palette (it only measures about 1″x2.5″!!! and it’s a full size) is the perfect mix of options and ease. Each of the colors can be used separately or blend them together for a gorgeous flush. From left to right the colors are: a bubble gum pink, a soft peach, and a warm coral. They are all matte but look great blended with a highlighter as well. 3g – $17.95
Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess –
I’ve saved the best for last. I love all of Tarte’s Amazonian Clay line and this was no exception. This bronzer has a nice warm shimmer and lasts forever. The color is too light to contour for me but adds a nice tanned glow when applied to the high points of my face. It looks amazing when you use it with this technique and it gets a big 5 stars in my book. 3.0 g – $10
Total Retail Value ~ $62.50 + shipping
This has definitely been my favorite glam bag yet. I totally love 3 of the 5 products and was only disappointed by 1! Yes, there was only one full size products but all of the samples were generously sized. What did you think of your July glam bag?
